This course is designed primarily for first-year foreign degree-seeking students although it also opens to interested local students to experience Taiwanese culture together. This lecture opens with a self-introduction and split students into groups. Students will be divided into a group of five, one local plus four foreign, to visit different locations every week starting Sept. 16. The point of interest may include but not limited to night markets, temples, memorial halls, NTU museums, handcraft and cultural center, eco-park, old street, and historic relics and rarities in Daan, Wanhuaand Nangang districts. Each group needs to send their PPTs to the instructor one day prior to the ten-minute presentation on the next occasion of the meeting. The instructor will then summarize and conclude the reports in the second-hour lecture.
